CALIFORNIA TITLE 20 

Starting January 1, 2010, the recently adopted “California Title 20” requirements for lamps and portable luminaires will go into effect.  Nicknamed “bulb-in-a-box”, the first provision requires that manufacturers include a compact fluorescent bulb in all product manufactured on or after 01/01/10 that is being shipped for sale to the State of California.

 

The product displayed in the “California Title 20” section of our website is fully compliant and should be the style ordered if the product is intended for re-sale or installation anywhere in the State of California.

Table Lamps
The table lamp, which typically ranges from 30" to 36" in height, is the most popular portable style and has multiple applications for task or decorative lighting.

Console Lamps
These lamps, which range from 32" to 44" in height, are taller and thinner than a standard table lamp and used for accent and decorative lighting.

Floor Lamps
This lamp type, which ranges from 60" to 72" in height, typically diffuses light downward and provides ambient or task light, as an important design element in the room.

Table Torchieres
This small lamp directs or diffuses the light upward.

Torchieres
These tall floor lamps, which range from 72" to 78" in height direct light upward to create ambient or environmental lighting.

Girandoles
Girandoles combine three products in one - a pair of sconces and a decorative mirror. A girandole is supported by elaborate wall brackets, or may be hard wired to the wall.

No hardwiring required. Simply plug into an electrical outlet.
